Academic Support Services Unit
This unit performs the following functions:
- To oversee students’ admission and examination processes;
- To liaise with Directorate on matters of admission and registration of students;
- To oversee updating and production of academic Almanac and annual Prospectus;
- To maintain and update current and continuing student records with all aspects towards completion and award;
- To support and serve all current and former students with integrity and equity using all Institute policies and relative laws;
- To process administrative matters relating to the functions of academic departments, and Examination Committees functions;
- To ensure handling of academic awards;
- To oversee processing of applications, selection and admission of students;
- To coordinate the evaluation and recording of all transfer course credit for transfer students and continuing/readmit students, course substitutions, and course waivers;
- To provide effective access to Library collections and sources
- To develop and maintain appropriate indexing systems for all library and resource collections
- To maintain the organization of Library materials
- To collaborate with other Directorates/Units to determine the academic status of students and assist in resolving complex student issues; and
- To advise the Deputy Rector-ARC on all matters related to student admission and examinations.
The Unit is be led by a Manager.
